Advances in Medicine and science only seem to be creating more diseases !!!!

Is science or medicine in specific helping alleviate diseases or discovering/creating /identifying more diseases ???? I would like to know what everyone thinks about this - do you think medicine is making an advancement and reducing the number of diseases or creating/identifying more diseases such that medical advancements cannot keep up with the diseases being identified..........

I think it only seems that way. Remember, the people who are catching the diseases weren't healthy to begin with. Or, they wouldn't have needed the medicine.
