I have used the "claw" clips to keep the shower curtain closed, and as a tieback for a curtain.

You say "cool beans!" I haven't heard that in ages. I love that saying (and I have no idea why, I guess because it makes no real sense; why would "cool beans" be a good thing?)

LOL.. we've used ours for chip clips too. I also used them one time to create recipe holders with our scouts. The clip is simply glued onto a wood piece for a base and then you can clip pictures or recipes in them. You can use them to clip scarves too if they're big enough. When they're real decorative they actually make a nice accent.

I forgot to mention, when my kids were babies I used to use the hair clips to clip a towel around them when all the bibs were dirty or we were out visiting and I had no bib to use.

What about using hair clips on bread bags? They're easier to manipulate than twist'em ties and those little plastic pieces that come on them. This is a good discussion. I found several ways to use them that I would never have thought of.

I use them for my plants. Indoors - they help control ivy and flower stems that get too heavy - just slip in a small stake and clip them to it. Outdoors - tomatoes instead of tying them, good for beans, peas, squash and cucumber vines. Just be sure to use the right size hair clip so nothing gets crushed by one that is too small.

I bought a bunch of cute hair clips for my daughter but she refuses to wear anything in her hair. I have been using them to clip together her little bittie socks. I hate rolling up socks because it seems like it ruins them and they are so small to really fold. I wouldn't recommend it in the washer thoguh, I tried it and the clips snagged some of her outfits.

Is that the new haircut in the pic? It's not very short but it looks great if that's the new haircut. I also have short hair now and I don't know what to do with my clips and scrunchies. I use the scrunchies to bundle up stuff like beach towels, towels..okay, just towels. Like you I also use the clips to keep chips bags closed. I don't know how else to utilize them except let them sit in my box looking all colourful and what not. I do have a friend, she's very crafty unlike myself..and she recycles the clips by taking away the old decs and putting new ones and sells them off on e-bay for a very low price. She sells some of them to our friends too. Are you a crafty person??

I find my self using them to hold my little notes together and I used some small ones as book marks. I have even used one to stop the cover from blowing off the oil tank during the very windy weather.
