play station or x-box

Which of the consols would you rate the highest and why. This is because i am thinking of buying a console due to the factthat i have never had one and am a bit unshure of which one to go for.

play station is like every man;s dinner
and
x box is like the rich man's pet
the quality also is lke that
PS2 is actually more used than X BOX
cos of the cost and more availabillity
if u got money and got X box available near u
better buy it
else go for PS2 or wait for PS 3
