Hi Friends....
I have been having this doubt for long.....I am a strict vegetarian....But i do eat cakes which consists of eggs...but so far egg is considered to be non-vegetarian...If u observe in this world, many of the vegetarians consume cakes which consists of eggs but consume no other non-vegetarian items like me....So are these people need to be considered as non-vegetarian or should egg be considered as vegetarian??

MsRetro is right. A vegetarian who eats dairy products is a lacto vegetarian, and one who eats both dairy and eggs is a lacto-ovo vegetarian. there are also vegetarians who eat fish, called pescetarians.
If you are worried about it, and prefer not to eat eggs in anything, look for vegan options on the menu. If you are baking, bananas are an excellent substitute for eggs. (1 banana= 1 egg)

Well i think its all mind set.....I had seen fast food centers in other countries which consider fish as vegetarian(i saw it in Singapore) I almost ate it after asking for a vegetarian dish....So it all depends on the mindset, just for the sake of keeping up ur vegetarianism don't get confused over this topic, if u feel its non-veg dont eat it....

I live on the Gulf Coast of Florida, and there are a huge number of people here who eat that way. It's generally described as "pesca-vegetarian" or "semi-vegetarian."
Besides the "fish-is-okay" train of thought, there's also the fake fish you'll see in some markets. The asian grocery near me has "vegetarian shrimp." They're quite odd-looking.
I completely agree about choosing the foods you are comfortable with. It's important to know that your choices are in line with your beliefs. Decide what is important to you. Then, research food sources to learn about the resources they consume, the level of suffering they cause, and the pollution they cause.

When we say your a vegetarian then youd definitely only vegetables. The only problem with egg is that its not considered as a vegetable. Im sure eating egg recipes is against a vegetarian diet.

A diet that includes eggs and/or milk is typically described as lacto-ovo vegetarian, or just vegetarian. Those who avoid animal foods altogether generally call themselves vegans.
