i saw many children nowadays that do not want to eat vegetables.. i understand why they act like that cause ive been a kiddie once, and vegetables just taste awful! but i do realized now[that im already twenty] that these green leaves with awful taste is necessary to supply the nutrients our body needs. are milk enough to supply the nutrients vegetables can give?

Reading this made me smile for I don't have a problem feeding my son. He would eat whatever I give him. He eats even the bitter ampalaya. Isn't he amazing? :) With your question I think the answer is no. Milk can't give all the nutrients that veggies can give and vice versa. So you must take both.

here are 2 tips to get your child to eat some veggies. it may work. take celery and cut it into sections about 2 to 3 inches long. put peanut butter on it and then put raisins on that. it's a good snack. i used to eat them when i was a kid. also dipping carrots in ranch dressing. it's good and he will have fun dipping. that will help get some extra nutrients in him. milk isn't good enough to supply the nutrients he needs. try a kids vitamin. they are good and taste like candy. they come in different characters too so let him choose if he wants flinstones or spongebob.

My nephew refused to eat vegetables ( I am lucky cause my daughters love them) and the doctor told his parents that you can supplement them with a daily vitamin like Flintstones. You can get most of your nutrients from eating other types of food and fruits.

that means, its okay for a child to exempt vegetables, providing that he'll eat fruits or take vitamins? kids love fruits very much and i guess it would be okay.. fruits are more expensive than veggies. but its okay i guess, for most moms, what matters more is the family health and not the cost of the food..^^

vegetables is very important to maintain one's health! Especial for kids, I don't think milk can supply enough Vitemin vitamin as what vegetables do! SO, my suggestion is that: all parents should keep their kids' meal balance!

When we were raising our daughters, we had a rule in our home. Eveyone had to taste everything that was prepared. You did not have to eat it all if you did not like it but you had to taste it. That rule applied to every meal. So even if you had tasted it before and it was prepared again, you had to taste it again. The girls learned this rule quickly and they tasted everything. Today they are adults and they will eat almost anything. My oldest uses that rule with her children. It helps them develop a taste for veggies and it is not forced on them.

thats a good idea ma'am.. when kids are used to what they are [always]tasting, they tend to like the food the next time it is being served. i personally do not like tomatoes at first. my mother always serve it raw for breakfast, sliced. but then, if ill not eat it, ill have no viand.. so i have no choice but to eat it.. now, whenever there is a slice of tomato in my plate, you can be sure ill eat it.. ^^

as our children grow up, they need more nutrients that nilk alone cannot provide them unlike when they were babies. i have a 5-month old son... i'm planning to introduce veggies to him first before anything else... i know there are baby foods out there that are veggie flavored instead of giving him food that are sweet to our taste... it'll probably be hard to give him veggies by then when he's used to sweet food :) just my opinion :)

i don't have that problem with my daughter. she will barely eat anything else. she loves vegetables and fruit. i think it's because i made my own baby food and she got to learn the taste of real veggies and fruit at a young age. it is capable to learn to love it. you just have to keep offering it and don't give kids junk food instead. don't give in, kids will eventually eat when they are hungry enough and they will have to eat the veggies cause that's all there is.
