Which would you choose and why. Carpet or Laminent? Take into consideration that you have three kids (one with asthma, two with allergies), one dog and one kitten.

It just depends on what roomin the house you are talking about. Carpet is bad in kitchens, diningrooms, and bathrooms. Anywhere the kids are going to make a mess. I would rather have carpet in the living room and just not let the kids eat in there. It is nice to have a mixture through your house because you want easy clean surfaces, but also a soft place to put your feet is good too.

I agree some yes. I want to put laminant in the bedrooms and the livingroom. We also have a glass room that was built on the back of the house off the livingroom. Because it has the backdoor and most of the dirt from the backyard I want to do tile there. Thank you for your response.

def laminent..i hate carpets.i have all hardwood floors in my house and i would never get carpet..its to hard to get stains and dust out at least with laminate or hardwood u can keep up with spells and dust or animal hair easier...i have 2 kids a dog and a cat and with hardwood u really notice the hair and dust that accumulates that u wouldnt really notice to much with carpet cause it just blends in and gets right in there:)

I agree. I think the laminate would be much better for keeping clean. Plus it would be easier to reduce the dog and cat dander. I think it would probably help a bunch with my sons asthma too. Thank you for your response.

If I had my choice I would take all the carpeting out and leave it to the barewood floors or replace it with tile or something similar.

Laminent!!!! I have two daughters with asthma and allergies and the Doctor recommends it. It's easier to clean up the dust and dander which carpet will trap. Plus you have the fibers from the carpet flying around on top of it all.
