What would happen if Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama ran on the same ticket? Do you think any republican ticket could even contend?
You'd have the soccer mom vote, the "black" vote, and most other minorities. It would be a very interesting situation. I think that it might just be the "the mixer" that is neccessary to stir the American political pot.

Hilary, smart lady I'm sure but we already know what we would be getting. Another of of the Clinton views on how they see the world. And Barack, who knows what we wil get, he doesn't have the track record yet and beleive its more wait a see. Honestly if this is best choices the Democrat ticket can offer, we are in trouble. And the Republican's aren't any better.

I think we have been in trouble for years. I think that it is fefinatly time for someone different though. I am not sure who yet, just someone different.

I don't think they would win. Obama has very little experience and very little real opinions.
Hilary is so polarizing, she'd lose more votes for the Dems than she would gain.

While it is true that Obama has very little experience and likely would be the vice presidential candidate, he does however have the "star" quality and seems to have a fairly decent following. Hillary is a Clinton and is very well known. I don't seriously think it would ever happen, yes they are both democrats, but seem to be on different ends of the spectrum on most issues.

Whereas, George W had lots of experience taking profitable businnesses into receivership, and very little in politics. Probably why he's done such a good job, and China is expanding at a high rate, whilst the US car industry is going bankrupt, the Southern American countries are forming an anti-American lobby, Japan wants its own army, South Korea wants to close US bases, and, the wars are going so well in Afghanistan & Iraq.
I think Hilary will probably get the Dems vote, whilst Obama may have to wait another 4/8 years, and prove himself on a few issues first. I don'r particularly think any Republicans will want to end their political careers by running this time, and losing. This will probably mean quite a low-key Republican representative at the next election.

So basically what I am deriving from your comment, which be the way I agree with for different reasons, that the Republicans should just call it a day and give up. I must assume that you are a republican. Hillary is going to destroy any other candidate that opposes her as only a Clinton could do. It is going to be an interesting coupla years. A little birdie has already said that Hillary has let the dogs out at Obama without even formally announcing her candidacy.
