Whose the best::: SACHIN or PONTING or LARA???
Record says sachin is the best but current performace of ponting stands him ahead of all...but the best of all i think is lara who single handedly can save or take the match away from the oponent..
LARA has always got the worst support from the team in comparison to sachin and ponting.

Simply SAchin is the Best.
Noone can withstand his grandeur.
He has been consistent for 17 years.
Ponting has never been consistent He has scored 23 centuries in last 3 years then he is today being compared to Sachin and all. If you subtract his 23 from his career total he stands no where.
Now as far as LAra is considered he is a great player but not like Sachin.
You score 50 runs in 5 innings and then make 250 and claim, to score more runs than Sachin ... That is ridiculous.

no doubt sachin is a great player but m talking about best...Apart from sharjah innings, i can hardly remember a match where sachin turned the match to indias side single handedly...m also a great fan of sachin but these are facts and we have to accept...can u remeber match saving test inning...

west Indies was one of the best team with ambrose walsh hooper when lara started playing fo india so in terms of support he had plenty of them but if you think of sachin he carried the whole team on his shoulders for a long time don't you remember the time when sachin use to stand on the other side watching wicket tumble in heaps and you say sachin was blessed with team support?
yes as far as the present form ponting is the best but sachin and lara are the older horses dont know when they will bounce back and take over the reigns from ponter

u r talking about the year 1992-96 when WI team was blessed with good players but what about since then....
During that period india also had very good side...remember azhar, jadeja, robin, etc..
But dear i would like to know about a match saving inning...

seeing things in a larger perspective,sachin is the best.imagine a small man carrying the hopes of a 100 crore people and satisfying them most of the time...whereas in cases of lara and ponting,they have lesser pressure on them and hence they have an untold advantage.....so tey jus seem to shine....

wow what a question. it is very difficult to reply in one word. Lara and Sachin are genious (as per media). Lara has ability to save his team alone. But as per present form I think Ponting is the best and he will break all the records of Sachin and Lara.

In My opinion sachin is best because he have the best record in th world. as the question of current performance,I think ups and downs always belongs to every one's life.We cann't say any thing by seeing any one's performance in a specific priod.We should comment by seeing his whole achivements for his country.Finally i think sachin is best.
