I thnk it is because the horses always tramples into humpy dumpy just when the king's men are nearly done putting him together...

I think they couldn't put Humpty Dumpty together again because: after he had his great fall he was just the shell of the man that he used to be. (hahahaha)

The horses weren't much help. And maybe the king's men are good at guarding the king, but very very bad at jigsaw puzzles, especially the 3-D kind.

oh, dear, poor humpty dumpty. i think that's the saddest nursery rhyme i've ever heard. come to think of it, it's probably the only rhyme that doesn't have a happy ending!

Maybe it's because Humpty Dumpty is small (how big can an egg be?) and with so many horses and men mingling around, it go stomped into fine powder. Then the wind came, and WHOOOOOSH, no more Humpty Dumpty to put back together ever again.

Cos he was spying when he was sat on that wall so MI5 scrambled him!!!! Even though they are eggstreamly good at denying it!!!!!

I suspect that they were warned by their lawyers what would happen if they left one tiny piece of shell out or put one in the wrong place. Think of the lawsuits and then a jury would have to be picked and witnesses summoned to court, a babysitter would have to be found for the old woman in the shoe with so many children she didn't know what to do, peter piper couldn't pick a peck of pickled peppers and try explaining that to the boss! And we all know the dish ran away with the spoon, so it would take time to find them, and consider this, if Lil Bo Peep has to go to court, she will never find those sheep, I know if she leaves them alone, they'll come home, but how long would they stay if she is not there? Oh there is to much to consider, so Humpty Dumpty, being the reckless egg he was by sitting on a wall and allowing himself to fall just had to stay scattered!

In reality Humpty Dumpty was a cannon rthat was shot off Wall Church" in Colchester, England. It was intended to protect the Parliamentarian stronghold of Colchester which was in the temporarily in control of the Royalists during the period of English history, described as the English Civil War ( 1642 - 1649). A shot from a Parliamentary canon succeeded in damaging the wall underneath Humpty Dumpty causing the canon to fall to the ground. The Royalists 'all the King's men' attempted to raise Humpty Dumpty on to another part of the wall but even with the help of ' all the King's horses' (The calvery)failed in their task

I think that the kings men and the kings horses couldn't get it together long enough to be able to put Humpty together. If they had had a better plan and made sure the horses stayed away from Humpty they would have had a better chance. Teamwork comes to mind and I don't think they had any.
