Need Technical Reason

Can anybody give me the technical reason that why Muhammad Asif and Shoaib Akhtar didnt play together at the first Test in South Africa. Selection was not the issue, there was some other reason. "waiting for your responses"

Well u said that u want techincal reason, so I tell u, as u already know, pakistan's strength is bowling so for the 2nd test they are available and I think WILL play 2nd test, infact shoaib was in SA on the 2nd day of the test match, thats why he missed first test, and yes the other reason was cricket board wanted to see a little more of the pace bowler i.e. his form in domestic, but now its much needed so he will play 2nd test

sometimes cricket selection committes and team managers play some dirty politics.... so, the actual reasons will not be disclosed......
