I prefer pads. I could never wear tampons for too long, just way too uncomfortable for me. I have had my father and my brother pick them up for me, surprisingly enough. Of course my brother was a boy scout and often had to buy pads for on camping trips...no not for the women for to be used as torches. They'd put them on sticks with a wire and burn them. of course these were the older type pads that aren't as thin as some are today.

I have never heard of pads being used as a torch, well I learnt something new. I wonder if you have to soak them in anything before burning.

Tampons, due to the fact they allow for less odor, more comfortable and might as well be more comfortable. My hubby has picked them up for me over the years whenever there was a need. Today's styles seem to only allow for tampon use since the clothing is so low and so tight looking.

Ok now i have to say this GREAT MINDS think alike!!! The two of us definately think alot alike!! I am also a tampon user for the exact same reasons as you. I can't stand the way a pad makes you feel uncomfortable. My dad used to go and buy ours he wasn't ashamed either, plain as day open view ... LOL!! I don't see the big deal in a male purchasing female products. I mean come on ... LOL, I think we have enough sense to know that it ain't for their peronal use ... LOL!!

I have purchased tampons for my g/f but it does not concern me.I try not to worry what others think about me as I can not control their thoughts and no sense in worrying about things I have no control over.

I was always more of a pads girl myself.
I don't like the idea of using tampons, Not after hearing all the frightening stories about toxic shock syndrome (TSS), a serious illness originally linked to the use of tampons Which you can die from.
Pads are just what I've always used and as the years go by, they just keep getting thinner and thinner, which was great.

But now since my op, I dont have to bother with either of them, Thank goodness

ohh ill go for pads. i find it more secure from leaks. i dont like wearing tampons cause i already have a bad encounter wiht it.. haha so private to discuss. well, tampos should still be supported wiht pantyliners nad it still adds more expenses from my monthly personal bills. well, i always wear pants, so pads are more recommendable :)

I do not need them rightnow. I am on a deposhot and that removes the "bad time of the month"
However when i did, I used both at different times of the day and week. I also have sent my bf to get it for me and he has done it without objecting =)

I start on pads and used only these for a while as my mother was buying them but after that I started using tampons, I prefer tampons as I feel they are cleaner although I do sometimes use pads going to bed.

I prefer pads. I think perhaps a lot of this is because my mom put the fear of god in me about tampons, lol. Pads are just what I've gotten use to and as the years go by, they just keep getting thinner and thinner, woohoo. I do use tampons occasionally in the summer time though if I want to go swimming, however I don't really find them all that comfortable and crazy as it sounds, I'm always scared of putting them in wrong, LOL.

I can only use pads because I have a problem with hemoraging . I have hemoraged three times already and apparently it would be very dangerous for my to use tampons . I have never tried them , so the fact that everyone says they are so much better doesn't mean much to me as I don't know what I am missing .
My husband would be too embarassed to go purchase any for me . I needed some one day and called our local store and they had them ready in a bag for him already for when he showed up as this is the only way he would go get them for me lol .

I have always been more of a tampon girl myself. I don't like the idea of wearing pads, it feels just like not wearing anything at all to me. Tampons feel more fresh. I hate buying them though, I feel like people are looking at me funny for buying the ones without applicators, so I usually buy them online.

I hate pads! My mom used to make me wear them when I was younger because she didn't like tampons! I always felt like I was wearing a diaper! Yuck! I wear tampons only and My husband has no problem buying them for me what a man!

I only use pads... I have tried tampons before and I don't ... like them. I really only want one thing up there and it's not a little peice of card board or plastic. I am more comfortable in pads too because I would constantly be worrying about a tampon leaking. As for my fiance - he has bought me pads before. It's not a big deal. He just doesn't want to talk too much about it. And once at a party we were at there was no trash can in the bathroom. He put the wrapped pad in his pocket and threw it away in the kitchen for me - he offered - I didn't ask (and he was in the bathroom so that he could lean on the door (as it didn't lock)

I've never worn a tampon in my life... lol... I am scared to wear it because it is inserted inside my body. I would rather choose wearing pads because the blood can flow naturally and any blood clots can escape without any blockage. That's my reason of wearing pads.

I awatys wear tampons, I think pads are cumbersome. and uncomfortble, and I just don't feel comfortable in them at all. Tampons ae easier, and more discreet to carry in a handbag, and much more hygienic just to flush away. My partner has bought them for me over the years, and he doesn't have a problem with that kind of thing at all.
