I set up my second amazon astore during the last 48 hours.
It took me so long because I am a serious book junkie and had to read the descriptions of everything I was going to list for that page. Then I got bogged down in the essential oils and the accessories like the diffusers, and those little necklaces with the vials and lockets to hold your oil...you can carry that wonderfully healing smell with you all day long...I think I might have to buy several.
They have these really nice gift sets that have this HUGE price range.
I haven't found any decorative perfume bottles there yet, but my eyes were getting all jacked up shopping for my shop.
When you are setting up an affiliate program, do you choose based ont he items that appeal to you most or do you just grab things and hope for the best?

Sorry about that Sage, I reset my computer and when I went to post I had to sign in again and the post went to the CIA (I have a lot of paranoid old hippie in me - LOL).
I don't know if MyLot will let you give a link to your shop or not but I am so happy for you and your excitement and enthusiasm. I am currently in the process of building my own web site (imagine - Witchy Tupperware) and am going to have spaces available for banners. We will talk later, in the meantime bask in your full glory dear woman and enjoy to the fullest. Blessed Be ~Donna

I've posted one response but don't know if it showed up or not - if it didn't I will answer again - please don't think I am posting for points. I don't want to be redundant and double post ~Donna

That has happened to me kitchenwitchoftupper! Sometimes 2 messages in a posting effort. It could be due to the slow internet speed in the Asian region because a cable in the Taiwan straits snapped in the latest earthquake tremor near that area.

Hi SageMother,
I have also setup several internet shops which sells a variety of things for one's personal use, home items, gift items, collectibles and many other things. Then the other two internet shops I have set up are T-shirt printing shops, which also sells mugs, caps, stickers, banners etc. All of them include affiliate memberships that make one make extra money from the selling experience from your shop.
So sorry that myLot will not allow posting of links to those stores. But I guess you'll find a way to get those links. I also run affiliate sites that markets my internet stores. I have quite a lot and tracking them is quite a job. I hope I can find a software where you could tract your sales, your affiliate earnings, and the points you make in each and every affiliate site that one has joined.

Oh, that's awesome! I don't have a shop of any sort myself, but a few of my friends do. I've thought about setting one up because I have so much to sell, but I never get around to it. My one friend who has though is extremely happy with her success so far.

congratulations. I had no idea that amazon could set up stores ala Ebay. Are they a lot better?
I wish you the best in your endeavor. I am in the middle of trying to set up a web site for myself and it is taking sooooo long, mainly because I am new to this. I am using tools as I am not a programmer; but even so, it is a bit tedious. Then I get a page completed and get motivated again.
I hope you do well,
Rick
P.S. It's always nice to run into more people from Colorado here !

absolutely. I try to stay with items that I am familiar with. I opened a sneaker store once and I think that I was my best customer! It just made me excited to talk about it and earn money at the same time.

And here I thought my site idea was new... Seems like tons of people out there are doing the same thing. I had to giggle reading your discussion. You sound so much like me. It's going to be great to get to know you more and I'm going to look into how to get an amazon store at my site. I didn't know that I could do that :) I've got a netmall where I've got a few books and I found a cute little script that displays books (can't remember where it's from) but to actually have an amazon booksstore on my site would be so cool. Although I think I'll stay away from the oil holding lockets until after it's set up or I'll never get it done :)
