Alcohol or Cigarettes... What's Worse?

I'm not saying that either one is good for you or for society in general, but which one would you most like to see eliminated? I find it disturbing that here in the U.S., the government does SO much to try to eliminate smoking and so little to stop people from drinking. I don't know the statistics, but a heck of a lot of lives are destroyed by alcoholism, or ended by drunk drivers. At least with cigarette smoke you can see the danger and avoid it, even if it is inconvenient to do so. When a drunk is racing toward you at 100 mph you don't know it until you are either dead or wake up in a hospital bed. Which addiction scares you more?

A very tough question as both are worse. But smoking definitely is the worse of both. Have it effects you directly and other passively. And coming to drinking its because of the some perrsons who try to drive claiming the lifesof innocent people but drinking in personal may not harm you so much as smoking.

I might say that both are dangerous and its better to avoid them. But addiction to alcholol is more dangerous when compared to smoking. Smoking might only affect you, but drinking will affect you as well as a third person. We might not know what we are doing after having drinks and we drive our vehicle in our own way. Most of the accidents happening are due to drunken drivers. I have also personally experienced a bad situation because of this. Once I was returning from office and a drunken truck driver came straight in front of me and hit my vehicle. I was badly injured and was hospitalised for two months. So I guess, its better to control ourself from alcholol...
