I prefer cats. They are much more independent and cleaner than dogs.

I prefer cats. I think they are easier to take careof, full of personality and most important QUIET. Dogs bark to much.

I love them both, but cats win totally. Cats are easier to care for -- they don't have the odor dogs do and they don't have to be let outside. They don't require the constant attention either. Cats have a wonderful aloof personality -- they want to be petted when they want to be petted and the rest of the time, leave them alone. On top of everything else, cats purr, dogs don't. Nothing beats going to sleep to the sound of a soft sweet purr.

I like both of them, but I get along better with cats. They are independant and I like that. One said "A dog can flatter you, but you have to flatter a cat."

Dogs by a long shot. They are loyal and protective. Ive seen dogs protect children from strangers. They allways come whan you call and are allways happy to see you. Dogs can play rough, gentle or just lie next to you while you watch tv. A friend of mine tried to teach his cat to fetch but it would not do it consistently. And cats stink, i cant believe people put a tray inside their own house for a cat to go in. How gross. Its dogs all the way for me. Woof
