How to keep pigeons away

Does anyone knows how to keep pigeons away? They are making nasty sound like an ill-coughing person and I cant stand on them anymore.. We just moved in to a new apartment and there are pigeons living on top of our window seals and they are really annoying.

My husband mention this method to me he read that is done with other bird species problem. Anyways....you have to research what is the predatory bird for pigeons. Then get a taped copy of that sound of that bird and it will scare the pigeon away. He said to look for it at the National audobon society. You have to replay this recording over and over to scare them away. I guess it makes sense...coz if you play a lion's sound to a group of deer....they will certainly not be back on that place. Just an instinct of survival. Hope this works. =)

What about doing a scarecrow? Might help you to keep away pigeons. Can you make some pots on the window sills to keep them away?

we are not allowed to put pots in the window sills as they may fall anytime by wind or by the pigeons themselves and we are living in the 27th floor, the highest floor of the building and anything that falls down could be dangerous to anybody. May I'll try to make scarecrow, but i have to research how. thanks for that.
