Twins

My wife has been pregnant for almost 10 weeks now and yesterday when we went in for her check-up we discovered she was going to be having twins! I was in shock. I never expected this to happen. I am very young and one child was going to be hard enough on its own, but now 2, wow! Does anyone have any advice on what i should be doing to prepare for being a parent of twins?

thank you very much, i hope that they come out beautiful like their mommy. i hope they will be healthy and strong. i have the fear that one of them is going to come out with problems, either physical or mental, why i do not know. maybe it is just a paranoid parent thing, but i hope this is not the case.

Congrats! Don't worry. You just have to buy 2 of everything now, lol. It will be harder and more expensive but it will all be worth it. You will find a way to make it! My advice is that you start sleeping now, becuz you won't get any once they are born! Good Luck and again, Congrats!

Congratulations! Looks like you are getting a 2 for 1 special. I did not have twins, but I did have 2 of my children a scant 10 months apart. Yes, it is hard. Probably the hardest thing you will ever do in your life. But, it is also the most rewarding thing you will ever do with your life!
My advice would be to search for support groups in your area, or online. There are many parents of multiples out there that are more than willing to share thier stories and advice.
And try not to worry about one of the babies being born with health issues. That is a normal fear of any parent to be. Just do your best to put it out of your mind. Since your wife is getting medical care early, you have better odds of having two healthy babies.
