I have much experience with insurance, and there are several statements that are true. The biggest problem I have found is that most people do not know that they are surpose to take care that the insurance does not become of need in their life.

when you get insurance for anything the company is supposed to provide you terms and conditions usually this is in small print but if your unsure about something you should always read the terms and conditions before anything, for example if your not sure to what extent you are covered the terms and conditions should explain this to you, so unless your aware of what your cover entails always read the terms and conditions and any paperwork provided as part of your insurance agreement.

You have submitted advice that is given to people who buy insurance, it is good and accurate. The focus of my question is: WHAT IS INSURENCE? also HOW IS IT SURPOSE TO WORK?
Your answer does not touch on either part of this question.
