In Buddism, the basic defination of the of Karma is "For every event that occurs, there will follow another event whose exsistance was caused by the first, and this second event will be pleasant or unpleasant according as it causes was skillful or unskillful"Or basically "what comes around goes around"Some people just think it's a good way of thinking and using it as a moral guide of sorts....
I do feel the way you live your life of course, will effect the things that happen to you..If you are an angry and selfish person well of course you will attract negative situations towards you simply because of your perception...
On the other hand, if you are very happy and positive and find the good in many things, your experiences will be more pleasant...

I would like to believe in Karma. But if that's the case then why haven't bad things happened to people who have done bad things to me. Or why hasn't more good happened to those that have done good.
However, I have seen what I believe to be Karma. I have 3 people in my life that have directly played a part in wronging me in some way. All 3 have chronic health problems that will either kill then in the end, or hinder their live drastically.
I not so jokingly say that *my* bad karma is having to deal with these people and their issues, because they very much affect how I live my life.

This Karma theory seems rather interesting. I do believe that "what comes around goes around".
For example when driving I always try to give way to another driver if it is possible. I do find other drivers that are kind to let you pass by. So a good gesture is always reciprocated sooner or later in life.
This discussion reminds me of a story I received by email lately. An old lady's car broke and a kind truck driver stopped to help her. The old lady continued her way and stopped for a break, entered a cafeteria and a pregnant waitress served her with coffee. The old lady left a generous tip to the waitress. The waitress went back home happy to find her husband the truck driver waiting for her at home.

Yes, I believe in Karma since I'm a Buddhist. I always try to live positively and help other people whenever I can. I know that every good thing that you do will give you good karma in life.

I believe in karma and that what one sends out will multiply and return 3 folds.
However, I do not think that we are always given the hand we dealt out.
I am a very positive person and grew up very psotive and happy. Even though I grew up with my father that could not bestow presents for birthdays or holidays, I was okay with it. I loved him and that was all that matter.
However, I have a son that is ALWAYS negative, no matter how I try to teach him, he finds something to be negative about. I am now working with him to get him to write 3 things that happened each day that is positive to try to change his way of thinking.
Now, since I grew up being patient and have patience to this day, thos rule would say that I would have patient people surrounding me all the time.
Sorry...but that is not so. It is hard at times because those around me can tear down my positive thinking from time to time....but I am able to grab a hold of the bright side again.
So, even though I believe in the, "What comes around, goes around". I think we might not deserve everything we do get.

Yes I do believe in karma, but I just don't know how to explain more about Karma, but I know the concept of Karma. This life is short,so I try to live as good as well,to be a good human...Why you need to do all the negatives, you don't gain anything by that.Instead,if you do all the good things and positively...somewhere inside of your heart, you'll feel a small satisfaction for your life living in this earth...Why need to harm others, talk politely, act nicely not only to humans but also animals...I will just ask myself how do I feel if somebody hurt me and do all the negatives to me...True or not.?

I do belive in Karma. But I think of it this way. If you did something bad to someone, and something bad also happened to you, then you deserve that misfortune. Because you caused someone misfortune too. You treated them wrong. But if you are always kind to everyone and you have everything in the world, then you deserve the life that you are living. You deserve to have everything because you are a good person to everyone. What im saying is, dont expect to live a happy life when all you do is make other's lives miserable. Think about it!

i so believe in karma... it's not coincidence... it really happens. you can't say it's a curse, because sometimes, it can really be a blessing.. just keep on doing good to others because good will come to you. i've experienced karma.
