OK guys, this one has probably been asked before, but I've not spotted it on the site. If you could have your very own supergroup, and you could have anyone (living or dead) playing in this band, who would you choose, what songs would you have them performing, what would you call them, and how do you suppose they'd get along? Let's have some fun with this one! Positive ratings for everyone who submits a supergroup.

As I don't have to pay their wages, I should like a supergroup of Eart, Wind and Fire proportions, as follows;
Percussion - Nick Mason & Carl Palmer
Keyboards - Rick Wakeman & Brian Eno
Electric Guitars - Dave Gilmour, Carlos Santana, Ritchie Blackmore & Pete Entwistle
Acoustic Guitars - John Williams & James Taylor
Vocals - Carly Simon & Otis Redding
Backing Vocals - Andreas Boccelli, Charlotte Church & Dame Kiri Te Kanawa
Piano - Jools Holland
Brass Section - Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbeck, The Marching Band of the Coldstream Guards
String Section - The Kronos Quartet
& production by Giorgio Moroder.
They would perform big versions of 'Northern Soul' classics, and it would sound great!

Wow! Sounds like a fantastic and epic band! How many stages would they fill, I wonder...? What name would you give them by the way? Thanks for your contribution!

As they would be recreating music from the Stax, Phillie sound of soul, rather than dreary Motown, I thought they could be called 'Edwin Starrs sock drawer collection'! Catchy, eh?

Sounds like an interesting combo there fluffhead! What name would you give them, and what style(s) of music would they perform?
