who would not want their stories published?

I want my stories to be read around the world... Hoping that one day, I will have the chance to get my stories published. The problem is, i don't know how. I'm afraid it will cost me alot... I want my stories to be published to earn from writing, right? Does anybody knows someone who is interested in stories to be published? My stories are for sale!
