Cleaning your Computer - Everyone needs to check temp files and things on that line
Have you gone to your temp files and cleaned them out. Also check your file that has cookies in them and clean those out as well. When you go to websites it saves files in your temp folder and builds up. Also run a defrag on your computer.

Install more RAM. You see, Win XP itself needs 128B to run properly. Get more than 256MB. 512MB is good. If you have SDRAM or DDR 266/333, do it real fast dude. They are being thrown out the market like bones thrown after eating chicken. Defrag your HDD. Use a good program like "O&O Defrag" for that. Go to Sysinternals.com and download Page Defrag for defragmenting your page file, which often becomes a cause of sluggishness. i know, you may be kind of the one who experiments with softwares, but that often leave registry entries. Get a good registry cleaner. Uninstall all progs that you dont need. Free up TEMP files. Use programs like JV16 Power tool for that. And as Antivirus, Use ESET NOD32. Ask any forum its the best antivirus and eats also 32 MB RAM.Take my advice. Tested and Tried by myself. Running a P4 128 SDRAM myself which is faster than most of the bundled DELL and HP pcs with 2+ GHz and 256MB Ram
