myLot and Photos

Just a question about all the photos people are uploading.
When you upload a photo, they ask if you are the owner of the rights to the photo, if you have the rights to distribute the photo. As photographers, I know there are some professionals here, how do you feel about all the photos that are obviously not posted by the person with the rights to distribute? How would you feel if one day you saw a photo you took posted by someone else? What does myLot do about copyright infringement?
I ask this because I'm leery about uploading my photos. I have them for sale on stock sites and I'd hate someone here to steal my work and use it to gain them a profit or to use it without my permission.
Just wondering.

I am a photographer and I wouldn't mind I would actually be flattered. As long as people are not making money off my work I never mind, more publicity for me! basically that rule exists so people aren't posting pictures of people that don't want their pictures posted and sue. So you can upload most stuff just use discretion. You can also get pictures that are royalty free which means that you can do whatever you want with it! Did I answer your question?

I sell a lot of my photos royalty free on microstocks, so I'm aware of that. I just wonder about some of the photos uploaded. I'm sure many of them are not royalty free.
I appreciate your comments. My goal with this discussion is really to spark conversation. As a photographer, I see people taking and using photos and just wonder why no one makes a big deal out of it like illegally downloading music.
