We've all seen them. Those topics that have been done to death. Here's a place to vent about them. Go wild. Let out all your frustration regarding those mindless twit hurled discussions that have been regurgitated time and time again, day after day, onward to infinity.
This is a place for venting. For letting out frustration. So save the pithy 'everyone can post what they want!' replies. We know that. And we can complain about what *we* want. Wouldn't you rather we complain here than go crash their discussions and complain there?

I know that people have talked baout this in other threads, but then this is a good specific thread-
"I'm new to mylot, can people please tell me how this works?"-
First of all , If you are new then read the f@@@ing FAQ's and guidelines provided, it's that simple, there is no mysterious special knowledge that can only be imparted by people responding to your topic, and if you really want more specific insider info. then use the search function to find older threads started by other morons aahhhh
Apart from those annoying repetitive threads, I would have to talk about the monotonously regular chestnuts like "Whats your favourite book/film/poem/writer/actor/etc?", anything to do with Harry Potter- enough already, those kind of topics that say nothing much or don't ask a question simply stating something bland and inviting comments from other bland people- like "I just started reading (insert book) and I'm enjoying it so far but may not finish it"
There are many others that get on my nerves and I've begun to just ignore them and hope they will go away, but there is a Spanish phrase 'La mala hierba nunca muere' which roughly translated means 'weeds never die'

I like the cut of your jib. ;)
I have a whole discussion on people not reading the guidelines and the FAQ. Drives me nuts.
No, they never do die. I figured that's why I should make this post: it won't change anything, but at least we can all vent and get it off our chests!

I never had any questions about the website. I read everything before I started posting.
People on here are happy to chat - I chat with people all the time. But I can't stand people asking questions that they don't have to. It's spamming, and it's against Mylot's rules. So is posting repetitive discussions.

i thought people were happy to give advice on here when people are new.
I'm beginning to see another side to this site. So your telling me when you joine dyou never asked any questions on how this works. you read all of it??.
I thought it was nicer to talk to people on here that's the whole idea of having sites like this.
If we all came here just to read things none of us would earn any cash would we.

You would think they would start their own discussion based on their particular, original slant...well we can hope its original.
New writers arrive daily so some of the newbies are sure to respond, even to topics that alot of the people who have been here a while, will not. Its a good way to pad points in an honest, constructive manner.

That's SO true! When I was new here a week ago, maybe, I posted to those general topics, because I was new. Everyone isn't necessarily going to search out older topics and respond to the generic older topics, because they aren't necessarily as active anymore. Even if the posts have been done a million times, those who are new haven't seen them, and there are many new people every day.
But I agree, especially in regard to the "I got my money!" type posts. Those just irritate me SO Much. We get it, you got paid. Good story, right?

it's ok with me really to see the same subject approached from different point of views. as long as the person who initiates the disscuion has a different point of view. i am not really bothered by the repeated disscusions on the same subject as long as each one has his own approach.
what drives me crazy are those topics who contain a question as a subject and when it comes to the description all u can read is "tell me". i totally hate them ... "do u think that ... / what is ... / what do u think of ..." " tell me". they are meaningless nonsense idiot disscusions. same as the ones that have a question posted as a subject and instead of description u can see question marks. and when i see more than 1 it makes me freak out. like "?????" grrr
gratz for a nice disscusion, i really enjoyed responding to it.

Hey frnd, thanks for creating just a discussion to pour all our frustrations. I really get pissed of when I see discussions like,
What is your favourite colour?
Whats dinner for today?
How many members in your family?
Whats your sibblings name? These discussions are of no use to others.
Also, discussion like "I am going to suiside" and other related topics to that really make me wild. Many over here are starting new topics just for name sake and they don't really know the importance of discussion.

You're more than welcome. Some people may be complaining, but it's always nice to be able to vent. And better vent here than snap at someone elsewhere!
I agree, those discussions are very tiring.

I would have to say the ones complaining about mylots payment plan. Really people this is all for free. You type what you are thinking and get paid. If the few cents you get are not worth it to you then don't come. Also the ones that actually state "do you think I should just kill myself". Then they get like a thousand responses says "please don't" and all that. And they get paid for this. I seriously doubt anyone who is really thinking about killing themselves are posting that they will here on mylot.

Hi! I'll tell you what I'm completely sick of..... since you asked! :-) People complaining about Mylot! Jeez, they pay you to have a good time and do practically nothing, why complain? "I don't like this policy... I don't like that policy....." Who cares? No one makes you stay if you don't like it! Quit complaining or go away! ..... Okay, I'm done now. :-)

I agree. I may complain about people on Mylot, but I have no complaints about the website or the system itself. We're getting free money, no one has any right to complain.

I didn't scan through all the responses, so sorry if I'm being a broken record...
I get annoyed with ...
"MyLot paid me XXXX amount today!"
"Do you wanna make easy money, try this site"
"I got an alert from Mylot today!"
"I'm new - can you tell me the rules?"
"what's your fav. color?"
"what's your fav. letter?"
"will you donate me money? I blew all my $$$ at the bar & have bills to pay"
"Do you think I'm pretty?"
and (Off topic a bit) responses that are WAY off in left field are annoying too.
The list goes on & on .......

I know that when Mylot first started people were skeptical about whether they'd actually get paid.
But here we are in January and about the middle of the month we get all these posts with people saying, "here's a photo of the Paypal receipt I got from Mylot."
C'mon folks, people have been getting paid for a while now. If many people say they've gotten paid I'll believe them, I don't need a photo of the invoice!

Well, yes. I know that. We all know that. But people still feel better after venting, and so this is a place to vent. Please read the discussion before responding.

You told me I only post complaints about Mylot, and that I should come up with something new. I was pointing out that I don't just complain about posts on mylot, and that if you don't like my subject matter (which telling me to write something 'new' implies) don't read them. I post what's on my mind and what I want to talk about.

I just look at the latest discussions and if it interests me then i will respond if not i just ignore it.
Maybe you should do the same.

Topics I'm tired of - where to start.
Saddam Hanged! Followed by broken english anti american rhetoric.
The incredible number of posts about cricketers with zero responses - I know there are a lot of posteres here from India where the sport is extremely popular but man!
Two sides of the same coin designed to upset and therefore get high posting numbers.
"Inflamitory anti islam quote" - what do you think?
AND
"Bordering on racist anti-american quote" -what do you think?
First post questions about how to make money on this site, as if there is a magic secret to making thousands on here!

I could not agree with you more. I am a new person to Mylot but have not been able to bring myself on for a couple of days because the discussions I am across where so USELESS that I could not even bring myself to respond to them. I am not going to reply to your post just to tell you what my favorite colour is!! Those people are probably the same ones complaining that they have made like $.05 since starting my lot and have posted like 500 discussions, lol.
Right before I read your discussion I just told my friend who came into the room and said "are you on the mylot thing" and I said yes, its been a couple of days, hopefully their is not a bunch of crud on here today, and as I am saying this I opened your discussion and started laughing.

There are lots of topics I can't stand and try to avoid, but what I hate most is when people post a reply when they obviously haven't read the whole question and you just get completely random advice which has nothing to do with anything.
Or if they haven't read any of the other replies (even just the ones on the front page) and you keep getting the same answer over and over.
And thats all for today :)

Oh I forgot to mention the topics celebrating milestones- It's clearly stated that it's against the rules (No.4 I think) yet people still create topics like 'I turn 25 today' (that's a paraphrasing of one I just saw), or 'just reached 500 posts' etc. these kind of discussions are appropriate for PMing, not to mention the fact that everyone can see from beside your name exactly how many posts you have made and don't need you to start a new topic to prove it

thanks for putting that on here.
I'm still quite new and don't spend that much time on here.
The only thing i would say is all the time new members join and some of the old topics they may not have responded to in the past but may have an opinion.
The thing that bugs me on here is people complaining to much. You don't get this on other sites and they are free. maybe it's the money, people do get greedy. To be honest the money is so small it's not worth worrying too much over.

ummm Have you tried the search feature?
As I have, I do a search every time before i post a — well what i think will be a new topic and the search feature which as you say is nice and handy Doesn't bring up all the topics that have anything to what i am searching for. So when i post my topic i do sometimes find there have been similar ones already posted which only then come up under mine!

I use the search engine all the time. And it works fine for me, brings up all the topics on whatever subject I've entered. It works the same as any other search engine, so if you use the right search techniques there's no excuse.

All i can say is Oh my god i hate it when people make 3 different topics on the same subject. I HATE IT IT IS DISHONEST FOR EARNING MONEY AND THEY DON'T DESERVE WHAT THEY ARE EARNING. Along with this i HATE PEOPLE WHO POST 20 different topics WITH ONE LINE OF TEXT.
I Hate it when people post thousands of post that aren't really helping ANYONE!

Well I haven't been here very long and probably have no right to complain yet but I will anyway. I am so tired of seeing comments about Mylot earnings or I just got a star, or why did my money go down, I just got paid. It seems there are way too many people worried about the money. I thought this was a place for discussions on things in our lives or interesting subjects. I don't think anyone is going to get rich on Mylot. To me that is just a small added bonus! Thanks for letting me vent a little frustration.

It is a place for discussion, the money is just a perk. I wish people would stop freaking out over it and making such a big deal out of it.
