I have a 6.5 years old machine with P III 550Mhz processor. I was using 2 os win98 & winxp on my computer. But some days ago when ever i wanted to start winxp my computer used to restart automatically. I scanned total harddisk with 4 mostly used anti-viruses (with updated virus definition). They did not detect any virus. I formated total hd and tried to install xp but faced the same problem. Then I formated again and tried to install xp using my friend's copy but the same problem continued. There is no problem with win98. I am now using only win98. Can you help me?

How are you installing your OS, are you installing it on the post screens(startup) or while windows is running, if you are doing it while windows is running tell what OS that it runs first.

well i have a problem with internet speed , i am using a broadband connection from a service provider at 128 kbps . but my speed is very very slow and download speed ranges from 3 to 4 kbps . the service provider says there is no problem from their side . is the problem with my computer ? or there is a password theft ? please help me soon .
