Are video games to blame for our childrens behavior?

we hear it all the time people saying that video games are to violent for our kids. but don't people realize that you do have a choice of what your children play. If you don't like the game then don't buy it for your kids. Right.... or what.
What do you all think.

Video games don't encourage violence anymore than bad peers, movies, books or news programs. It's the parents' responsibility to teach their child the difference between the real world and the fantasy world. Only the mentally desturbed or uneducated children (the onles who don't know the difference between fantasy and reality) are the ones who get triggered by outside influences.
