How do I help him?

My brother is getting divorced. In April I discoverd my brother's wife was cheating on him. He left her and moved back home with my parents. His life was turned up side down in a matter of weeks. Now, 8 months later... he is struggling to keep from filing bankrupcy, she was going to keep the house but once she realized she can't afford it moved out and left it for my brother to deal with. Unfortuniley that is going back to the bank soon if he can't sell it. They owe way more then what it's worth. It seems as if he is being held responsible for all there debt because his name is on everything. I don't understand it. He told me that last Sat. he sat in his old house until 3am... sitting on the cold floor crying. He is miserable. He loves her. He can't let her go. He called me sobbing on Sunday... telling me he can't go on, it's too hard. He can't do it anymore... it freaked me out... BAD! Their son is 4 and it kills my brother to know that he is goign to have a broken family. It's not anything my brother and I were raised with... so it's hard. Any advise on what I can do to help him??
