I am around 23 in age.I work in BPO company.my life is fairly comfortable.
but things are not aas peaceful as they may seem.my family and my gf constantly complains about my irritability and lack of patience at place.I seem to react strongly to the person making noise.also my gf thinks I often lose patience when i take her out shopping. What is surprising is that i was not like this a few years ago.I may probably facing emotional volatility, a state where you feel extremely positive one day and extremely negative on other days.in the down phase you tend to lose patience with those you interact with.
why does this happen ?...how can I overcome it ?

if you are irritable try to eat less jot and spicy foods..if possible..too much heat in the body makes you angry..try more alkaline based foods..and things like bananas and avocadoes..and yogurt..this will cool your body down..and going for long walks clears the head..take care .

When my family members get on my nerves and I find myself being snappy, I try to take a deep breath and remember why I love them. I know that sounds sappy. Just take a deep breath, separate yourself from them a little (like go in another room for a few minutes)and just think about the positive things in your life. It really does work.
I have mood swings a lot, so I really feel for you. I know there are some days when everyone is just so annoying that you want to scream. You can learn to control your negative emotions. Have faith :)

May be conflicting thoughts are working in mind. The best way to get rid of all these is to forget everything, except your job and your gf for the time being. Also try to meditate for 30 minutes, may be it is difficult for first 15 days later you will master it and increase it to 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening. YOu will be able to do well.

Well, it is better that you take time off first. Maybe it is just stress. But you know what, prayer does help!!

How's your caffiene intake? Overdoing it (4-5 coffees a day) can over-stimulate the nerves and generate some pretty nasty side effects. It can leave the drinker feeling restless, irritable, and it may be causing you to lose some zzzzzzzzz's. I had to cut back on the caffiene because I wasn't able to sleep well, so I was waking up cranky. I like drinking chamomile tea at the end of the day or when I am really stressed out.
