The cost of hosting a site very base on which hosting company you go with. Of couse, this related to the reliabiblity of the hosting company. You can pay a monthly fee or pay yearly fee up front. I would say the range is from $40 ~ $100/yearly. For the domain, it's about from $9 up with .com name base on which company your register with, but keep in mind that you can get cheaper domain deal in two cases. 1. choose .info, .org or others will be cheaper sometimes, for instance godaddy.com now is on sale for .info name only cost $0.99 now. 2. buy in longer term, another you get some discount if you buy more then a year for the domain. In addition, keep an eye on yahoo, sometimes they do come wout with $1.99 .com sales for the 1st year.
Hope these info helps!

The costs would be the "host" the company that makes it live on the internet viewable to all which is usually paid yearly, and the cost of the domain name, for example "Mylot.com" which you lease for so many years, and have to renew it every now and again.
