Does it drive you nuts when people end their statements with "..."?

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think a lot of people understand the sarcastic connotation that comes with ending a sentence with "..." It's one thing to say "Thank you...I appreciate the help," I'm guilty of that plenty myself and see nothing wrong with it. It's when I see people simply say "Thank you..." that it really gets under my skin. It comes off as being condescending, like rolling your eyes or saying something under your breath.
I think a lot of people just copy what they see and don't realize that over the years typing has become it's own language and typing things certain ways can make it mean something slightly different, like typing in all caps.
To make matters worse, I work for an online customer service site and I see coworkers doing this all the time. I see it happen too often to try and correct everyone, so I just shake my head and wonder if I'm the only one that feels this way.

I use this sort of thing on a large scale really but I don't know why. Perhaps its because I don't know better....!!
I've never been a typist (maybe one finger) or a writer and I think that these things just get a habit as mine has.
I have never had anyone remark on it but its probably just like talking to someone who keeps saying er yes er no er maybe thats right er.

I know how to use ellipses properly, as in omitting irrelevant speech in a quote, but I too am guilty of using them the way you mention. I use it to add a theatrical pause to what I'm saying, especially when I'm implying that others are getting what I'm talking about. I do hate it...when people abuse... ellipses like this.....I find that super irritating, and I use it more like this:
Ranting ranting ranting, well, you know...
Something like that.

Never bugs me... I thought it just meant a pause in the thought, kind of like almost a new paragraph, but still the same subject as the rest of the paragraph!?! How about the over usage of punctuation!?! lol...

I use this alot. Especially when I'm trying to show that I'm thinking of my next line. Oh really I'm not sure why I do- because I'm trying to think of the reason and nothing is coming to my mind.... see, I did it there. Makes no sense to me. So I guess it does not bother me.
You would think a highly educated woman as myself would know better. Thankfully I do not use it at work only during chat!
I will try to remember to just use one . Not being sarcastic I did not realize that it had other meanings.

I use the elipsis ( ... ) mostly if I am leaving a sentence or thought trail off. I understand that on the web things are meant a little differently. I don't know. Now that I think about it I use probably more often than I should when I'm blogging. I didn't really think it to be rude though. Again I think it just shows my thought is trailing off.

No, it does not have any effect on me! In fact, I myself use it so much in everyday life when I send sms and chat on MSN.
