How does My Lot actually work?

Everyone on the site seems like they are all just so mean! I mean no one replies to messages or anything! I thought that this site would be more like Yahoo Answers but you just earn a little change for things! Could someone please help me?

How long have you been with MyLot? I only signed up yesterday and still am not clear on everything here . I think there are so many people starting different topics that if yours is not responded to right away then it gets lost in all the other one's . I started a couple of topics and have not had much in the way of feedback either . Maybe we have to find better topics. Hope you get lots of responses .

I have found everyone so far great and polite,i have asked people to be my freinds and they have and i have sent and recieved messages, maybe you were at the wrong place at the wrong time sorry.
