If anyone has suffered from depression or currently is they understand how hard it truly is to get passed. I just want to know how you did it if you suffer from it, or if you know someone else who has suffered and got through it. Or even how you are getting through it currently. Thanks for the advice.

Well, sometimes its unavoidable that we feel depressed for the day..but for the health its not a good side, i believe in Meditation which will balance our mind and helps to be normal at situations

I had a serious case of the babyblues after the birth of my 3rd son. I did not want to do anytning, but you can't put your children on hold.
I think that without exercise I would not have made it. I got such a release from it.
If I could not make it to the gym I would load the kids in the wagon and took them for a good ride. I still got the same "lift" and the kids loved it too. It finally turned into a daily routine.
The depression finally seemed to go away on its own, I still give credit to the exercise and sunshine

well, coping with depression is really hard maybe what you could do is try to go out just leave the place that makes you depress, talk to someone or even a psychiatrist dont ever keep any problems by your self this will makes you more depress than ever :) but the most effective way is shopping trust me i've tried it ...

Suffered alot and i've found the main reasons for it (when its sometimes not so obvious) and some things that help me.
Main problems: isolation, boredom, bullying, being single, poor diet, staying indoors/online for long periods of time
Main fixes: long walks (sounds dull but it helps) listening to music, drumming, gaming (call of duty 3 yeaaaahhhh im cool) or the most important one TELL SOMEONE
as useless as the situation appears its always best to tell someone and it really does make it alot easier for you.
hope this is of some use to someone :)

I have been fightig depression for years. First off, it is a medical condition no different than having a Thyroid problem or Colitis. If you have true depression then you need to see your Doctor. They will work with you to determine if you truley have depression or just a case of the blues. Next, in association with possible medication think about seeing a Counselor. They work well in conjunction with the medication. Other small things are getting daily exercise, restful sleep and a good diet.
If you need to talk, jump on here and post a quick note. People on here have jumped to my aid when I was feeling my worst.

When I had my child I was going through depression and they gave me medication. It takes time to get through the condition but it is something that will go away.

I suffered from depression last year when I got into a lot of problems. Since I have a degree in Psychology, I easily detected what was happening and recovered from it. I'm doing fine now. I just make sure not to stress myself out and I don't dwell on sad feelings anymore...

Years ago softly had the depression, for 6 months, then with the cares softly am recovered.
Medicines and psychologist which according to me is not served.
For ages I am well.
But I think that the best cure is the patient and he wants to recover. If you want you can, it is otherwise difficult

yeah...i am the recent victim of this serious topic which u have posted here...! i have undergone through a serious depression in the last few days..and really i was so depressed, that i was thinking of committing a sucide attempt too... but then i spitted out everything infront of my best friend and really he helped me such a lot, that i was able to recover from that depression...! really, i was in so much pain and agony, i can't think anything apart from it..! i say, if ever, you are in a serious depression, and if u are unable to think anything...just vomit out everything in front of your closest person..i say, u'll will recover..!

I have been suffering from depression for a long time. I just take it day by day but it is hard. I have been on several medications that have not worked out too well.My doctor currently has me on Lexapro and it has only been 2 weeks since I have been on it so it hasn't really started to work yet. There are days when I am so down that I don't want to do anything. And then there are days when I have so much energy I don't know what to do with myself. I just hope this medication helps soon because I'm sick of feeling this way. Being on here helps though because I have made new friends that understand what I'm going through and are here to talk when I need to. :)
