marriage for convenience-deal or no deal?

I've known of somebody in the philippines who met a british national. this guy,the briton,offers the lady a marriage for convenience just for him to prolong his stay in the country and in return he'll help the girl acquire a british passport so she could travel to any port of entry with out the need of a visa. until the moment, the girl wasn't able to made up her mind.If you were the lady, what would you do and why? would you sacrifice your love just for practicality sake?
