when do you realized that the one you are marrying is really the one? people often ask me that if I'm already sure if he's the one that i will be marrying since that'll be for a lifetime. what are your ideals that that person is really the one for you?

I knew he was the one because 1) my family and friends liked him (had that problem with a past bf), 2) we grew up together and had similar, though diverse, backgrounds (this isn't necessary for everyone, but was important to me), 3) he was someone I could be proud of (he's a Naval officer... and my hero), 4) we shared a Christian faith (also very important to me), and finally 5) I decided this was the man I wanted to marry, and spend the rest of my life with. Your decision, and his, are key. You choose to be married, and you will make vows to each other to make it work. That's why you know your marriage will be for a lifetime.
