I'm going to thumb up your question because I believe it is one of the most relevant of today's world. Most people here are either strong believers in a particular faith or athiests. It's not foolish to believe in something. In fact, it's faith that makes each of us crawl out of bed each morning. It's either faith in ourselves, the goodness of others or a supreme being that makes it worth it all. I believe those who mock 'believers' are mocking those who don't thoroughly challenge their own belief system, those who don't 'test the spirits' to see if something is truly from God. For example, Jesus never said he was going to send a book of apostolic letters to lead the believers, he said he was going to send the Spirit, who will reveal all things. So, if we choose to believe something, it should be because God's Spirit has laid it on our hearts to believe it, not because Rev. Jones said it so it must be true. Most professing 'believers' are foolish for believing the worlds of other men. But that doesn't make faith in and of itself bad or foolish. It doesn't diminish the need for belief in our lives. In fact, the very fact that so many people are being led on a wide path to destruction supports the very necessity of belief, personal belief. So, continue walking a narrow road on your own, don't be too excited about joining any other group's journey or converting others to your path. Because we all have our own narrow path to walk. There's a good chance, if someone is telling you... "No, God said you must be wrong", that they are following a wide road to destruction. Don't let them pull you off your personal path nor tell them they should be on yours. Everyone who gets to Life gets their on a narrow path, but not necessarily the same one.
