What's the best pick up line ?

Single woman should only reply to this! I need advice. I don't like using old established corny pick up lines when I see a woman I am interested in. Nor do I want to say something witty - she may get the idea I am always going to be witty! I am referring to situations where you see someone who you have never met before e.g. browsing in a bookstore and you want to get to know her or make contact before she dissappears forever...know that situation? I wish I could just be totally honest...just walk up to her and say " hi, my name is xyz and I think you are beautiful/interesting/stunning/whatever...and I would love to get to know you better. Would you like to meet with me sometime?" Is that too weird? Would she think I was some kind of nut? Is there any other way the ladies reading this would suggest? I don't want to walk around collecting slaps or have someone thinking of me as some crazy stalker...just how do you approach a complete stranger that you find very attractive and establish an acceptable sane contact with her? Any suggestions?
