Have you ever heard of Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome? It's where a mother either thinks her child is sick, or makes her child sick, and then attempts to take care of them in order to prove to herself that she's a good mother. Often children die. Do you think it is a legitimate syndrome? How do you think it should be treated in a court of law? What do you think the punishment should be?

I have heard of that before. I think that's what the mother suffers from in the movie "Glass House." The newer version.

I saw that movie! It IS what she suffers from. Also, the mother in the movie "Sixth Sense" did that to the little girl that haunts Haley Joel Osmet (I think that's how you spell his name). She poisons the soup that she's giving to "help" her get better, when she's sick from the poison in the soup! Here's a link with more information: http://www.kidshealth.org/parent/system/ill/munchausen.html http://
