'Seriously' is one word used a lot in Grey's Anatomy... it can be said in different ways and can mean different things... have you found yourself using the word 'Seriously'? how do you use it and what do you mean by it?

Lol i did notice the 'seriously' word alot . I think it started when Mcdreamy didn't sign the divorce papers and Meridith said seriously then Alex didnt kiss izzie and she said seriously. The word kind of sticks with you though very addictive.

Yeah, "Seriously" was seriously used seriously a lot in the Grey's Anatomy episode when Alex didn't kiss Izzie and ... hmm, something seriously happened between Meredith and Derek (I forgot!) Anyway, on your question -- I use "seriously" a lot as an expression. Sometimes, it just seriously comes out of my mouth :)

I have found myself using it more often since the start of the show. I didn't really notice until one of the families at work who also watch the show laughed at me. It can mean so many different things. Pretty much anything you want. It has become an all-purpose word. It can show incredulity, surprise, and emphasis.

lol...Meredith is probably the one who says it the most. Or maybe the only one who says it? I love when writers give a character a word or phrase that is meant only for them. It makes them more realistic. I have phrases that I use all the time like that.

yeah, so i've noticed. it's quite funny though how each character says the word to solicit affirmation on something

My bad. I typed a wrong respond on this discussion. The prev. respond that I made was for the George post. Anyway, I love it when they say SERIOUSLY, esp when I heared it from Dr. Stevens. :)
