All of you that have been selling on ebay I would like to ask for some help or information. I have been selling a little here and there and would like to get into selling more. I don't know much about finding wholesalers and such to do business with. If you could help me find some wholesalers I would appreciate it. I am thinking of kids clothing or trinkets, collectible type of trinkets. Any help at all is much appreciated. Also if you help me find out how to get my rating up high enough that people will want to buy from me. Just in case I don't get to respond right away I would like to say thanks now.

I shop on ebay all the time but I do not sell. I tend to donate my stuff to charity. I am sorry that I can not help you.
I do have a 100% rating though. I always check out the rating before I bid on anything and I check the comments. Just because they do not have a negative comment does not mean anything. Sometimes if someone post a comment like "it took a month to receive and many emails" I will not bid. Hope this helps you some when it comes to knowing what a bidder looks for

I know what you are saying about reading the ratings. Mine is very good also 100%, but it is low and people do not seem to want to buy from someone who is just starting out in that business.

i buy and sell on ebay. not for a profession. but i just get rid of stuff i don't want anymore. There is so much information on ebay, and it tells you just about everything to do for selling and buying. But...here is my advice-always when you ship something, get confirmation on delivery with insurance. its more expensive (the buyer should be paying for it), but it has saved my butt a couple of times. Not everyone is honest out there, and if they pay you by paypal, they can claim they never received the item, and paypal will refund their money unless you have that reciept with the tracking number on it. That is the only downside of paypal. Also when you do a listing for selling-the cheapest way to do it, is to start your bidding under 4.99- you can put a reserve on it so it wont sell for less than what you want, but over 4.99 it will cost you alot more to submit your item,.

I really appreciate your great tips. You have been very helpful here with your information. I did not know about the pricing and the shipping tip was something I had never thought of. Thank you so much.

It will be hard to find anyone who is willing to tell you their wholesaler. You can try looking in your local phonebook, or googling some. Most of the "wholesalers" are actually middle men. They are selling at a higher cost, and it is hard to sell their items on Ebay. Kids clothing is fine, but normally there isn't much profit margine in it.
