I m very confused as to what these rating mean. okay i know about best respose but rating each response ...what does it really mean??? Does it have anything to do with earning? What if my any response ( in somebody else' discussion) is rated +ve or negative or bause or not rated at all. Plz explain it is a new thing i saw on myLot.. thanx in advance.

When you post a discussion topic, you receive response from many members. All you have to do is: 1. Select the best response by pressing [best response] key which appears for each response. If you inform that person it is well and good. 2. Secondly, if the response is related to discussion topic, if you feel it is reasonably good, then press [+]. If the response is awfully disgusting, unrelated to your topic, then press [-]. If the response is abusive, against the rules of mylot, then press [!]. This is called rating.

Regarding the question if ratins affects ones earnings. I didn't find any guidelines on this nor an alert recieved from mylot stating that ceratin ratings well affect ones earnings. I guess we just do this to complement a good response or to report an abusive comment and to encourage users to respond to the topic. Since a topic with a more conversational tone tends to attract more responses.

Rating responses is fair, and it gives you the chance to respond to lousy answers. You don't absoluitely have to rate every answer, but it does give you some flexibiilty. If you really like or dislike an answer you can do something about it.

The more positive ratings you have, the higher your star rating. The higher your star rating, the better your earnings. Negative responses aren't given any credit. It's a good idea to always rate responses that are posted to your discussion. And as long as you offer up quality responses, you'll be fine.
