Well my dog has been with the family for the last 4 years and i can only say one thing. If you treat your dog as one in your family, definitely your dog's loyalty is yours. In my case, i can say that Titot (my dog's name) is one of my loyal "friend" ever to come into my life. Whenever I come home from work Titot already racing down to the gate to meet me, waggling his tail excitedly. And everywhere I go in the house, my dog always follows me... even in bed i might say. Its a matter of how you raise these pets that will make them as domesticated as possible.

I love my dog with all my heart and trust her with the kids although I wouldn't leave them to play with her alone as my boys get rough.
When she's had enough she will go and lie on my bed to get away and I stop the kids bugging her at that point, she's 13 now so I don't want them to push her too far.
She will ome to me if they start getting onto her chair or being to close when she doesn't feel like it.
She's a very good girl really, very loyal and protetive, I rarely spend any time away from her.

I have a very good dog and he loves my children very much. Actually I think that he thinks they are his children and not mine. He has never hurt any one of my children and never would. They do everything with him. He even enjoys playing dressup with the girls. My little man has never bit anyone and I know that he would not bite his kids.
