scarps!!!!!!! No Privacy - are they good enough

If you have a problem with what others have written in your scrap book, then delete the scraps. Orkut has given you the facility to edit all the information on your profile and scrap book, so why dont you use it.

THere is a option to delete it but you have to do it before others watch it.YOu have to be quick enough.

well there is no privacy with that regard....which means that any private discussions should not be scrapped...you can chat on messenger...and about the abusing, you can delete the scraps and also ignore the user.If you ignore the user, the person can't scrap you anymore.And there is also an option to report abuse

well i think scraps are not meant to be private..even they are not meant to be kept..the main purpose of scraps is to communicate faster than emails..but they have evolved as a indirect chatting mode..which has caused all the privacy issues..anyways everyone has the option of deleting the scraps..even there are tool which can delete the scraps from ur scrapbook and download them to your system for reading.. also orkut is upgrading they need your opinion..just go ther and tell them your prefernces

i think there should be a private scrap system, anybody shouldnt be able to read ur scrapbook nor shd anyone be able to write a scrap.

hey u can easily delete them as soon as u see...so its not bad thing about orkut...so many things are there in orkut whch makes us its fan!!!

its a big problem in orkut, people can write about anything on your scrap book and others can also see it. but the basic idea of orkut is this that people can know about you by reading your scarps, i think so, but it is ruining the essence of orkut

You can delete such types of scraps if you feel that they are not good. And also if you need to send a private message to any of your friend, then you can send the message using the message tab. That is a private to you only. It can't be read by any one else.

orkuting has no privacy so its not safe

I kinda agree that privacy is lacking in Scraps but i dont know whether its that serious....coz if u have to send messages privately to others then u can send thru orkut messages but if others are just gonna flood ur scrap book without any reason at all....then its something to worry abt

yeah u are correct about that bcoz there is no privacy at all any person can scrap any body and write a hell abt him abuse him can do any thing ,for me orkut is not good it has to improve like just friends can scrap other friends and no one else can scrap him. like this u can do it but orkut has no privacy whats so ever

If the people who are reading trusts you then it doesnt matter anything to them and if they dont trust you and comment negative on that then it means you must not not care about those people because they dont trust you.

if u need 2 talk 2 a friend with whom u want ur conversation to b in private only, u may talk to him/her by messaging. thts helpful..nobody else can explore ur messages..

instead of scrapping all can send mails or messages when they think abt privacy..
