I love Alfred Hitchcocks, genre, he is a man before his time.
His films, Marnie, The Birds, Vertigo, Psycho, North by North West, Rear Window, The Rope and many more.
All cutting edge movies about people who are in real distress.
Not only did he direct these is such good light, and get everything perfect, he appeared in each and every film.
He set a precedence for every future director, writer and actor.
Believe me, if you have never watched an Alfred Hitchcock choose one.
Choose your choice carefully, after The Birds you might never want to look at another flock of birds again!
The thing about Alfred Hitchcock and the writers of these movies is that they lull you into a false sense of security.
I think every movie starts in sunshine, with everyone happy and cheery. Be warned this is a ploy to make the people watching it think they are totally safe.
The music adds to the tension.
The first scene something happens, slowly but surely and then your trapped.
Unable to leave because the music and the story are paced and reeling you into what will probably be a murder, near murder or death by un-natural sinister causes.
Stars include Cary Grant, Princess Grace, Tippi Hendrin, Sean Connery, Norman Bates, Kim Novax, James Stewart and many more stars including Alfred Hitchcock.
My favourite is Psycho because the lighting as she is driving out of the city, heading towards her doom, the music and the tension is so alluring.
Norman Bates is like the boy next door, insert grin here!

I'm a huge fan of Hitchcock's movies, too. He's master of suspense and that's the reason why I love his movies so much. Sometimes I don't like happy endings but now I got used to. In love with films like Psycho, North By Northwest, The Birds, Rear Window and Strangers On A Train.

Ooh I do love a good Hitchcock movie. One of my favourites is Marnie, I bought it on DVD last year and watch it often, Sean Connery was just so damn hot in that film LOL. I also love Vertigo, Rear Window, Dial M for Murder, Notorious, To Catch A Thief and The Man Who Knew Too Much. North by Northwest was a great film too. I own about a dozen of his films on DVD and am slowly building my collection. I bought The Birds for my mum recently but I find it a bit too scary myself!
I do agree that the films start off so gently and you think it's all going to be nice and cosy until the real action starts! LOL Then it hits you WHAM! The guy was a genius, even though many say that he was a bit messed up in the head where women were concerned. Glad to know we have this interest in common too hun. xx
