I'd have to say I'm one of the minority in this world it appears today and still spend a pile on cds. A huge percentage of my disposable income would actually go to music and music related items. Having said that I'm a rather huge used cd shopper, with hardly ever paying full price for any. Full price is generally kept for my absolutely favourite artists. Admidtly I have a few of those. I'll also buy quite a few on sale in the 10-15 price range. The rest would come from used cd stores, with a very odd one (generally something for a collection of mine) coming from ebay.

my spending on cd's is very low, like 0 euro each month. I make my own cd's with the songs i want. i feel that when you buy a cd there are always some songs on it that you don't want, or already have on cd, when you make them yourself you can determine what you put on.

I don't buy CDs anymore. I am one of the millions who download tracks off the internet and listen to them at home on my computer. I never did really like buying albums anyway. Very rarely will an artist put together an entire album that is as good as the rest of the songs on there.

by doing this, could be one day the artist will stop producing any album and no songs to be downloaded through the net....you'll humming alone...he...he. But I think the quality is not that good compared to the original cd itself as i'm using state of the art system. So the differences are quite obvious.

Well I don't spend every month or have any regular pattern in buying music CDs. On average I buy say 2 Cds every 3 months, which would come to INR 600 roughly. I mostly spend on Classical Hindustani and Carnatic music and specifically Instrumental. So until I finish enjoying completely these I don't buy anything else. So basically not much of collection but steadily increasing.

don't you think by doing that you're killing the music industry and the artist. For me I value their work, effort and capability in producing good music...cheers
