i have a HUGE problem. my wife and i were planning on moving into a modest one bedroom apartment to get our lives started. i am only 19, just out of high school and i work 3 jobs, bringing in just barely $2000 a month. We looked at all the apartments in our area, and only one would accept us, so we "settled" for that one (not a good idea). it costs $900 a month and only water is paid for. i dont know what i was thinking!!! i signed all the contracts and gave $1600 yesterday. it is a year lease. we decided that we cannot afford this, and should save up more, but moreover WE ARE HAVING TWINS. I cannot afford twins in general, let alone throwing out nearly half my monthly income. I need to get this money back and take time to sit down and think some more. Can i get my money back? what do i need to do? any help would be greatly appreciated! thank you

Wow! I suggest you call up your landlord and explain to them what's going on. Sometimes they may even have other cheaper properties that you could lease from them. Talk to them. And if not, you may end up paying a fee to break your lease.
