Bee stings to help MS?

My dad was recently diagnosed with MS, so my family is constantly searching for things he can do to improve how he feels, and I found an article online that claimed a woman who has MS stung herself with bees where her legions were and now no longer has anymore symptoms. Has anyone else experimented with bee stings for MS or any other disease?

MS is a very unpredictable disease and affects each person differently. There is evidence that bee sting therapy has its benefits, but just like any other therapy, some have positive results while others do not. Some believe that the bee venom is responsible for increasing the neurological stimuli and others the sting itself that provides this response. While I have never undergone a deliberate course of therapy, I have been accidentally been stung on several occasions and subsequently (over a period of time) shown some improvement certain symptoms. Was this a direct result of the bee sting? No one knows for sure, but I believe the most effective way to approach this or any other disease is belief and attitude. Many people show remarkable results from therapies that seem out of the ordinary but are these isolated cases, or is it something else. Is it the belief that the therapy works, or is there some component of the therapy that provides positive results? Some people believe that it is necessary to treat their conditions through medical avenues, while others believe that nature provides a way to accomplish similar results without the use of artificial methods. There is no one answer to any of these questions. Whether we like it or not, we all respond according to our beliefs and attitudes. We just have to keep doing the things that work, and eliminate the things that don't. A positive attitude will carry you farther than any treatment, medical or otherwise.
