My friend "CLARISSE" met "XANDRO" through another friend (Sandra). This particular friend isn't the type of friend you run to fro advice during a crisis, but a friend you hang out with when you just want to have fun. She has the uncanny ability of turning my otherwise boring day into an exciting one. She knows all the right people, and definitely knows how to have a good time.
My friend Clarisse met a lot of people and friends through her. Once, she invited my friend to a party with her diving buddies. There, my friend met Xandro, a French restaurateur, all of whom struck my friend as decent, well-educated and successful professionals.
His boyfriend was in Australia taking his master's degree, so Clarisse had a lot of free time. Clarisse joined Sandra's group several times in other parties and get-togethers. During these occasions, my friend get to know them better and eventually considered her friends.
Last 2005, Xandro invited Clarisse and Sandra to one of his events. Afterwards, they headed on to a trendy bar. They took a table outside, ordered drinks, and proceeded to have an interesting conversation about their diving adventures. Xandro is a very touchy kind of person. After that long night, they decided to go home and Xandro offered Clarisse to take her home, Sandra assured her that it's alright..that she's safe with him.
They had a lot of drinks and my friend admitted that her vision was blurry and she felt nauseous. She fell asleep while on "his" car. When she woke up, she realized that she weren't at her house but in an unfamiliar car park. Despite her grogginess, she managed to ask where they are...Xandro didn't answer.
Turns out, there were in his condominium, my friend was so weak, so xandro had to carry her all the way to his unit. And unfortunately something happened...My friend said that she was aware with what's happening but she feels like she's paralyzed..can't move, can't shout. She couldn't believe that she was actually being raped by a trusted friend.
She was shocked and until now she's under medication because of what happened. I told her to tell the authorities what happened but she didn't want to because she came from a prominent family.. I can't say anything to her because i know what she feels. Please help me to think of other advice that i can give her.

I think that if we are to stop the people who do these dispicable acts we must report them and cause them to be incarcerated so that others are protected. If she says nothing then he will do it again because he can. I have heard of many cases that when they were finally caught they had actually had many rapes before and were surprised that they had been turned in for it. Because of all the silence of the victums before.
