Daytipper - does it pay?

I joined a site a few weeks ago called Daytipper. Its a site that published 'tips' - you submit tips and they pay you $3 for each one that they accept and publish. They seem to have a very long queue for publishing though, and I'm wondering if this site is for real? Has anyone been paid by them yet? Many thanks for all responses!
