The 3.5 floppy went the same direction as the 5 and a quarter .. ancient history. They don't serve the purpose most require for saving information, having a smaller capacity. The standard 3.5 only held 1 meg of information .. hardly enough for a day and age where storing audio & video music is a daily practice, and even a small sized song is a couple megs on it's own.

Yea it is outdated, but I have to admit that I still use them from time to time. Now days though when you buy a computor they don't always have a drive for it. I know when I bought my computor 2 years ago we had to get a external one. (my job at the time liked living in the dark ages)

Wow I haven't use a floppy disk in years now. I have tons of them and even sold and gave away hundreds at a yard sale a couple of summers ago. I would be afraid to put one in the floppy drive. It's probably all seized up. :)

Yes its outdated, but some offices or companies still dont know what a thumbdrive or flash disk is. Sorry for them.
