Frutise for dry or damaged hair shampoo and conditioner. Also nioxin is really good and that can be found in hair salons... They have products for everything. Dry thinning, Dry damage, normal, colored, etc..

Bad questions to be asking a hairstylist. I am a hairstylist and I would tell you to buy professional. I use Rusk products and the would recommend Calm shampoo and Calm Conditioner. The work really well for normal to dry hair.

You need a clarifying shampoo to help with the oil build-up. Your hair naturally produces its own oil. I wouldn't shampoo your hair too often with the clarifying shampoo though because it can strip all of your oil and moisture from your hair. Make sure that your conditioner isn't one for dry and damaged hair also. Those tend to add extra moisture to your hair which could be your problem. The only suggestion I have for straightening your hair is use a flat-iron. Also be sure to use a good leave in conditioner to help prevent any heat damage to your hair.

I've always used Pantene. I have tried herbal essence, as well as many of the more expensive salon brands, but I always end up back with Pantene.
