Do you regret not having a second child to play and learn with your only child?

We have one child and we are very happy to have him but at the same time we wish we had decided to have a second child to give our son a playmate.
Do you feel a second child that is close in age to the first helps them both with better social skills?

We also have one beautiful daughter. Although we are already happy having her, sometimes we also feel that we should have another one....but our daughter is more likely to have an elder brother to protect her which is impossible to happen anymore....It is really sad to see your child alone in her room so it is better to have at least two kids in a family.

Absolutely! My son is 5 and my daughter is 30 months younger than he and I believe that it is great for both of them that they were born close together. They do learn social skills from one another. They will also have a friend for life.

I don't have any child yet, but I am the only child of my parents. I never felt lonely or regret for not having any brother or sister to play with me when I was very young.
